Frequently Asked Questions

Here are brief answers to some of the questions that are most frequently asked

What Is In A Session?

Upon arrival, we discuss your intake form, your background and what you would like from the session. At this moment, I can also answer any questions you may have.
Next, you make yourself comfortable sitting down and I give you a couple of simple exercises which will engage your brain and subconscious mind to help you get into a relaxed state. Depending on the issue you would like to deal with, we use regression to look back at various moments in your life that have resulted in having a certain belief that leads to the fear or habit you currently have. We then reprogramme your mind to see it differently, using hypnotic conditioning.

A session usually takes 1hr30 to 2h and you receive a personalised 20 minute (approx.) recording of your session to listen to every day for 3 weeks to reinforce the therapy. Repetition is the mother of all learning, so the more you listen to the recording, the more it works. Even if you are listening at night and fall asleep, your subconscious mind still takes it in. Listening to the recording is a very important part of the process. Many people find they need only one session.

What Is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a trance-like-state of heightened concentration and it’s more common than you might think. To understand hypnosis, it's useful to understand your subconscious mind. This is the part of your mind that is the most powerful, containing infinite wisdom and a very deep level of intelligence. It is your unexploited resource for creativity and imagination. Our subconscious mind is responsible of all our emotions and therefore controls and directs nearly all of our behaviours. Hypnosis is a safe way to access this intelligence and transmit new instructions to create seemingly amazing changes in you, your behaviour and your body.

What Does It Feel Like?

You already know what hypnosis feels like, because you have experienced natural hypnotic states every day of your life, when daydreaming, watching TV and even when driving. These are those pleasant, dreamlike states where we "drift off". The Safe, Intentional Hypnosis we use during your sessions is entering these same natural states deliberately and with awareness. It is a systematic method that allows you to enter these "dreamlike states" and communicate directly with your subconscious to issue new suggestions or instructions. These suggestions are tailor-made for your individual needs, and will be made for you by your hypnotherapist. All you have to do is relax and enjoy the experience!

Will I Be Asleep?

No. You are awake and alert the entire time, aware of everything that is happening throughout the session.

Is It Safe?

Absolutely. The routines we use are the safest in the world. You enter hypnosis via a deep relaxation technique and your exit is safe, controlled and relaxed at all times.

How Do You Keep The Left Brain From Interfering With The Regression?

As part of the treatment, all my clients receive a "Prep Recording" to listen to prior to the session. It's helps them relax and get used to the process that they will experience. It's like a guided meditation so the person get familiar with relaxation, leting the subconscious wisdom come without analising anything. It's a very pleasant and peaceful recording, so most of my clients keep on listening afterwards as it helps them unwind and de-stress from their busy lives.
